| Pup Scouts | A 6 week course that meets once a week for puppies 8-18 weeks (2-4.5 months) of age. You will learn: how dogs learn, how to communicate with your puppy, read his body language and socialize your puppy to prevent possible problems. There will be supervised puppy playtime coupled with games to introduce your puppy to the fundamental "building blocks" of being a well mannered puppy. Such as: name recognition, attention, sit and down. Other topics covered include: house training, crate training, and play biting. | Mini Dog Scouts | A 6 week course that meets once a week for dogs 5 months or older. This class is specifically for dogs 20lbs or less. You will learn: how dogs learn, how to communicate with your dog and read his body language. Along with the building blocks to a better relationship with your dog. The focus of this class is to facilitate socialization and help your dog feel more comfortable in our big world. Contingent on the group there will be supervised play. You will train your dog to: sit, down, leave it, drop it, come, and loose leash walking. Other topics covered will be: anxiety, reactivity, and some behavior modification strategies contingent on the specific group. Requirements: All dogs must be vaccinated and healthy. | Dog Scouts 1 | A 6 week course that meets once a week for dogs 5 months or older. This class is for friendly dogs.You will learn: how dogs learn, how to communicate with your dog and read his body language. Along with the building blocks to a better relationship with your dog. You will train your dog to perform the following basic behaviors: attention, touch, sit, down, leave it, drop it, come, and loose leash walking. Requirements: All dogs must be vaccinated and healthy. Note: First class is a mandatory orientation for humans ONLY. |

Dog Scouts 2 |
A 6 week course that meets once a week for dogs 5 months or older. You will learn: to fine tune your dog's behaviors, wean out treats, use life rewards. Your dog will work with duration, distance, and distractions. Requirements: All dogs must be vaccinated and healthy. Your dog must have completed Dog Scouts 1 or been previously evaluated by the trainer. Note: Class will meet in specified location, but will then head outside for practice at certain times.
